Like the title says, do i really need the Koni bumpstops (or any other aftermarket ones) or can I just use the ones that come with the AGX's? Thanks.

bumpstops dont come with agxs ... or they didnt come with my agxs... anyways if your worried about bottoming out and want it to be as soft as possible then try the koni bumpstops... otherwise use the original bumstopdustboot.

I might be getting a set that is used, so I am assuming on hopeing that they are coming with bumpstops already. Thanks for the info though. My whole thing though is that the Koni bumpstops are really expensive if you ask me.

Bumpstops are when doing a set of lowering springs. If you go any lower than Sportlines you will need to trim the bump stops to compensate for rough bottoming out.

Oops! Forgot to mention that I'm going to be running GC's. I don't plan on lowering anymore then an 1"-1.5" at most.

while the Koni stops are a bit pricey @ $20 each, they are better quality than cutting the stock stops. until you're rich and famous the stock bumpstops will do. :)

Good! That's what i was hoping you guyz would say too!!! I found the koni bumpstops too expensive for such a small thing as well. I'm doing the same suspension swap and was wondering about the bumpstops. thanks:D

For all you B13rs, I remember reading Kojimas article that states that our bumpstops are essentially as soft as the Konis.

I didnt change mine out (but I havent run hard enough to hit them).

Put bumpstops on no matter how small the amount you lower it. I have AGX with Eibach ProKit springs which is only a 1" drop or so, but I made the mistake of not putting on the bumpstops, now I have a blown front right strut from bottoming out. And you will bottom out occasionally if you lower it. It sucks because they are relatively new, and I would hate to have to replace the fronts because I know the other side is still good. It seems like a waste. But I guess thats the lesson I learn, right?

So let me ask you guys, how long do the AGXs usually last? I do normal driving with a few autox sessions in the summer.
