Well I'm pick up a new catback system.... I was looking at The Pacesetter Catback.
Since I have'nt seen one on a 200sx (at least around here).. I have some questions..
anyone here have it?
If So....
How is the Noise, Does It Drone Really Bad, To Raspy, or sound cool?
I found one for under 200.00 , this a good price?
Thats all, if you all can help that would be dope.
Peace.

They're usually under $150 at nopi.com It's mild steel construction and buffled muffler, so you get what you pay for... but the price is not bad at all especially when it's 1/2 of $150

The noise on my B13 isn't bad at all, not much louder than stock IMO. And that's with HS headers. Basically it's true that you get what you pay for and someday I'll get a stainless exhaust, but you just can't beat it for the price. Order from NOPI, that's where I got mine and they were great to deal with.

The noise on my B13 was horrible. I removed it and put the stock system back in a week later. Much too droney on the freeway, felt like I lost a bit of low end torque too.
I couldn't stand it. Much louder than stock.

Probedude, i remember back when you first installed yours, you said the same thing....... mine was TOTALLY the opposite, w stock manifold it is barely louder than stock. maybe yours was defective or something?

Mine is mildly louder than stock at idle but there's an obnoxious blatty sound above 3K under hard acceleration. I've checked around for any sort of heat shield rattling but can't find anything. Has anyone else experienced this? I have the pacesetter headers as well as cat-back.

both the pacesetter cat-back and header came with the car which i purchsased used. the drone at 75mph in 5th (~3500 rpm) was unbearable for me considering how much time i spend driving up and down the jersey turnpike. altho if you drive over 80mph or under 60mph, the car quiets down considerably! i have also experience the obnoxious blatty sound under the same situations that lance mentioned. i recently swapped out the PS muffler for a dynomax ultraflow with a borla tip and also replaced the resonator with a thrush glasspack. the car is a bit quieter, but given that it's still 2 1/4" pipping all the way through, it's obviously not as quiet as stock. hope this information helps.
