I've heard of people getting their se-r down to 1900 lbs.
It has a sunroof, abs, powersteering, and AC.

Besise that, there doesn't seem to be that much left to strip besise the interior, but I doubt that weighs much. What else is there?

What are you planning on doing to the car? Autocrossing included? If so pick the class you want to run in, then check out what it will let you strip. But yea, those four are a good place to start. Someone just started making a power steering removal kit, hunt around and you can find it. The ABS on classics sucks anyways. When you get the A/C off, be sure to get the brackets that go with it. Oh, if your not on the mailing list, I recommend it. Just put in on digest mode. :)

Unless you GUT, and I mean gut your car, there is no way you will get it to 1900lbs. A Sentra weights between 2450 and 2500 lbs. 600 lbs is a lot to drop. If you take all carpet, dash, A/C, heater, sunrook, glass( replace with Lexan), door beams, bumper reinforcement, and stuff like that, then maybe 2100 - 2200 lbs.

spare tire, jack,a/c condensor, a/c compessor, a/c box under dash, switch to manual steering, all tar crap stuck to the floor, seats, door panels, headliner, bracing on hood, get lighter rims and tires,if you remove the a/c take the bracket that the condensor mounts on and cut it down to only hold the alternator, its friggin heavy, dyna batt battery, i cut out the spare tire well and replaced with straight piece of metal, much lighter and stronger...get a fuel cell...just all depends on what your purpose is? that is what you need to ask first....hope some of this helped:D

My car with a full tank of gas weighs 2210 pounds, and that's with a beefy cage.

We stripped everything, and I mean *EVERYTHING* allowed under the rules of the SE-R Cup rules. I'm in a bit of a hurry right now, later I'll post what I stripped and how muich weight it saved.

Are you going to drive the car on the street and are you going to cage it?

We'll just be driving it to the track.
Yeah, I guess we'll get a cage sooner or later
