These things are glue. Especially compared to my old, bald snow tires that came off to make way for them. At neighborhood speeds, they pick up pebbles and throw them into the wheel wells.

They are not far from race tires at all. Stickiest of the many tires that I've had on my car, ever. Bring on the autocrossing!

hey, are you going to drive around on these things daily or are they strictly autocross tires? i'm wanting to buy some a little bit later down the road, and i'm curious as to how "sticky" they actually are.

Look out, ***, I have a set too!!! HAA HAA HAA HAA HAA HAAA

I'm notorious for destroying tires is very rapid fashion. They will be my daily drivers. If I get through the whole summer, it would be a crowning achievment. I'll let everyone know how this whole wear thing goes.

They are stickier than:
Stock RS-As
Kumho 712s
BFG Comp T/A ZRs
Toyo T1S <--Previous champ
Bridgestone Blizzaks :D

And they are half the price! What a deal!

I wanted a set of these when I was in STS. But the move to SM and having to deal with a certain 2.5rs and Si has made me resort to full race tires. They should be here by the end of the week. This car is going to look mean as hell with 225's on it. [insert evil grin]

Hey, You two going to Gingermans opening weekend festivities on April 6-7th?

Cannot wait till I get mine. Should be here today. My friend has them on his gs-r and says he loves them minus picking up alot of rocks. Maybe mud flaps would help, not to sure.

hmm, well im wanting to get some this summer after i work some money up . since these pick up so many rocks, would it be a major hazzard to getting rock chips on the side from throwing the rocks? j/w

I've heard nothingbut raves about these tires and the only guys beating me in STS are the guys running them. You know how the saying goes "if you can't beat them, buy a set of Azenis tires just like them". They should be getting to my door step tomorrow along with my Rota C8s. They are not going to be my daily drivers though. I drive about 30K miles a year and would be buying about 3 sets a year if I drove on them every day.

Kinda spoils the concept of "Street tires" to me. I'm keeping them on all summer long, no matter how many sets I go through.

Im glad to here someone is driving them on the street!!! im thinking of it myself but now i have some Kumhos on my 15s and the Azenis on my 14s. shall i keap the cheap 195/60/14 azenis with factory rims????? nice looking rims with not-so-sticky kumhos (H rated) on thier now. Should i just throw away the kumhos and get a meetier 205 Azenis on the 15s and hydroplane a little in the wet??? Decisions decisions, oh the horror!!!! :D:D

I don't think you'll have to worry much about that. Last season, my first autox with the Azenis had me testing their wet traction through standing water. Let me tell you, I couldn't be happier. They were amazing considering their performance nature. I wouldn't question driving these on the street if I could afford to replace them every few months =).

i found that in the rain these tires will not stay put above 60mph you will hydroplane all over the place. i have yet to determine if i can stand this... they work great with low speeds and a little standing water but thats not what im worried about.

I'm getting mine put on my Integra in 3 hours... OH, I can't wait for that ride back to work!!!!! Yippie!!!!!!!!!

(they will probably be bald by the time I get back to work!)

Oh about tread life... I had the Stock Potenza RE010's on my integra, and they had a tread life of 180. these are, I guess, 200 tread life... And a bunch of other Type R people have switched to these and said that they have lasted a touch longer than the RE010's... I drove my Re010's for 15,000 miles, that's mainly hard driving, and a FULL SEASON of Auto Crossing!

so for 1/3 the price, I figure they are worth a shot!
anyway, that's my 2 pennies :D

What's the treadwear rating? Are they quiet? I used to have Yoko 520's which had a treadwear rating of 180 and were good and sticky but the howling on the highway was to much to bear. I threw them away with 50% tread left.

Just bought a set of Kosei k-1's that are soon to be wrapped in Azenis. Drove Wes's car at a AutoX and he has Azenis. Those things are amazing.

There AutoX tires for me only though.

I just looked, and they don't appear to be available in 215-45-15. Looks like I'll stick with T1-S, as Toyo seems to be the only manufacturer that makes tires in that size.

They are quiet on the freeway. I noticed noise at about 30mph, it must be some sort of sweet spot or harmonic or something. Other than that, they are very quiet.

I also drove on them in the rain. I had no problems at all, but I was under 50mph the whole time. They were actually very sticky still in the rain.

Parson: What size Azenis are you running? Are you on 14"s? If so are they the H rated ones? I haven't been able to find anything but the H flavor for the 14's.

spnx: There's one trick to the Azenis....they're REALLY oversized. If you can't find them in 215...get the 205's. You won't notice the difference. ;)

Really? Do you have any access to actual measurements? I don't think I can stuff anything with a width greater than 218 mm in there. I should find a shop and measure some, I guess.
