200sx SE-aRmed 03-10-2006, 11:57 PM Well right now im working out a few issues with my SR as some people on this forum know, but as soon as the motor is running right im going to buy one of these intercooler kits:

This forum has the most helpful and honest for me so i respect your opinions greatly!:biggthump What do you guys think?
And if any one really feels custom kits are better worth the money, im open to all suggestions! Thanks:D
s13rymos 03-11-2006, 11:14 AM I would go Greddy or HKS. But thats my opinion.... I guess the ebay kits are good if the IC core is decent..
Rittmeister 03-11-2006, 02:57 PM Never heard of either of those. Except for the mounting points, the second one looks a hell of a lot like the Greddy kit, which is what I'm running. I've been happy with it, good fitment etc.
If you're on a budget I suggest you check out Zilvia, in either the Group Buy or Advertiser section there's a thread about well-priced intercoolers, though I forget the brand name.
codyace 03-11-2006, 06:13 PM Can't go wrong with a Greddy Front mount at all. Great fitment, great price, and it works well on top of that!
200sx SE-aRmed 03-11-2006, 07:53 PM Man i wish i could afford the greddy or hks but thats really out of my league. From what ive asked the vendors, the problem with the first one is that the 90 degree elbow is three peace welded, but the good thing about is it is a complete kit. The second one has a nice mandrel elbow, but it is missing the hotpipe! So if i go ebay which would be better to buy the hotpipe for the second kit or buy a mandrel elbow for the first kit? Thanks again
Rittmeister 03-11-2006, 08:50 PM Hot pipes are cheap, you can get 'em anywhere. There are usually some on ebay, starting around $50 and going to $150 or so. You can even get a hotpipe, flanged and a BOV together if you are patient.
Do NOT cheap out on the BOV. Get name brand (Greddy is easy to recirculate, I've heard about problems with Blitz, HKS is excellent but costs a lot to get the recirc adapter) - it's one of the few things I really feel that "generic" is a bad idea.

Good to hear because i have a greddy rs BOV! Thats why i need to cheap out on the piping, this thing cost an arm and leg!
Rittmeister 03-11-2006, 11:38 PM Then just do a search for a hotpipe with Greddy flange. It's too bad, I just sold one last week :(
codyace 03-12-2006, 12:09 AM The 90 degree elbow from Greddy is infact cast.
The hotpipe with flange can be found at Enjuku for like 100 bucks...here is a pic of mine:

Here is the entire RSPL kit (same as VSPL aside from polished pipe and a different core)

200sx SE-aRmed 03-12-2006, 10:10 AM Damn, curse my bad timing!
panapower 03-12-2006, 02:10 PM I like the Greddy IC's. Very nice quality build but very expensive. I'm using a Precision IC myself. Very inexpensive and excellent quality as well. You should check those out as well
reverend_sean 03-13-2006, 02:01 AM JGY has a hot pipe for like $70, you know their stuff is quality too.
reverend_sean 03-14-2006, 12:56 PM Ther is a guy on Zilvia right now selling a set up for $250, it is custom, with a huge truck core.
200sx SE-aRmed 03-14-2006, 09:00 PM Thanks guys, but i already purchased the hybrid kit. I got a good deal on it. I know its too late, but just to keep this thread spicy, what do you guys think of the hybrid kit? And thanks again for your help!
