Hey Guys:

Im going to go and get my car dyno'd and was just wondering what is the most/safest amount of boost I should run when dynoing my car (sr20det redtop). Here is my setup.
-z32 MAFS
-gt2871r
-550cc injector
-apexi s-afc
-FMIC
-3" downpipe w 2.5"straight pipe
I dont have any internals done to the car and those are pretty much the basic mods, few other little things.

*** S-AFC limit the tuning...But i think if it done right, maybe 10-12 psi for a really safe setup....but it can go higher if the A/F is good....

You can have a lot of WHP with the GT2871R....But te tuning is the secret for a safe setup. Start with 6 psi...and add some psi until the WHP is good for you and the A/f is safe...

The 550cc are good for at least +-350 whp and the turbo is good for 400whp and +.

That all i can say !

Its the garrett turbo. I havnt tuned it yet, I was going to put in the injectors and tune it only so I could get it started and running enough to get it onto and off of a trailor, then onto the dyno and just have them tune it with the wideband. I could be wrong, but I thought the wastegate could not go any lower then 7psi, which is stock for the sr20det anyways. Owe ya and the walbro is installed in the car also.

yep. that would cover the same thing that I was going to mention. The SAFC is very limited on extracting power but it will give you enough fuel to keep things safe. Makre sure that you bring a fresh set of plugs and check them during your runs to make sure that your timing is good.

good luck

fyi i ran a bb37 (same as the 2871r) with msd 52's. i was using a jwt ecu to tune. i bumped the base fp to about 41psi from 36 and dyno at 20psi of boost and hit 365 at the wheels with a 12.5/12 to 1 ratio. all on a stock u12 det. power didnt start to fall off til bout 7200 rpms or so.

I **** I would go with the .64. And you say you ran 20psi without cams or any other internals and hit 365whp, thats intense. Nice work.
