i'm just curious as to whether or not you people give your cars a break or not. when i'm driving mine i like to wing her out (safely within speedlimits of course), but sometimes i worry i'm doing it too much. i know the strength of this motor, i'm just wondering if i should give my car a decent break every once in a while to ensure i won't blow her up tomorrow. i run valvoline synthetics in it, and let her drink premium (due to the 17 degree timing). i also fill my car up at half a tank because i hate running it dry.

anyways, just really wondering if you drive your se-r's like i do? or do you drive them worse? easier?

:)

The world is a race course.
Point A is the start line, point B is the finish line.
REDLINE everydrive, baby!!

If I die, then.........................ooops.

My car hits the redline pretty often. Even more when my wife is in the car with me. Maybe I should do a poll also. "How many people scare there wife/etc when driving"

Mine see's the upper RPM range daily, but I don't make a habit of redlining her constantly. Over the years though, I would have to say I fall into the category of "redline a lot". Maybe that's why my clutch went to hell at around 80k? :p

I actually drive my car quite easy. But it does see redline atleast once a day. I love the roar of my intake. The only time I beat the hell out of my car is when Serban (fast91ser) is in town. We are constantly messing around finding our tach needles at redline. :D

So I voted pretty hard.

a few gears in midrange each day from stoplights once she warms up.. 4th gear drops on the highway.. sometimes a 3rd gear drop from about 55mph. corner slowy on snows and never tailgate cause that eats up the brakes..

i run her dry because it's fun when the engine cuts out on merge ramps at 7am.. gotta max out the cruise range.. keep on keeping on..

On the street: Easy (lack of meaningful exhaust attracts too much attention)

At the track: No mercy.

My car rarely sees redline daily. I drive pretty soft and usually doesn't pass 4k. There are times around friends that it will see 6k or even 7.5k :D just to show them SR20 power. :D

I thought all the lines were red. Am I wrong?

Ryan (Monsoon), you've been in the car with me when I wanted to get somewhere...if it's not over five grand, you're clearly not adequately motivated to reach your destination. ;) Seriously, though, I keep the needle up, but try not to hit redline if I don't have to.

my SE-R would see redline all the time. everytime i would go somewhere, no matter 1 mile or 5 miles away it would get to redline. but i guess i wont be going past 6500 with my automatic G20 because it wont let me.

The fuel cut off and I don't get along...
I drive it pretty hard on a daily basis. The only time I really take it easy is when it rains or snows.

I'd have to say I drive my NX pretty hard. It hits redline a few times every day.

I smack my rev limiter silly daily in hopes that it will give up and let me spin to 7500rpm.

I rarely run it to 7,500, but it does see between 6,500 and 7,000 on a daily basis- gotta keep the mill free of carbon.
