Bent a wheel in a two-off excursion at Cal Speedway this past weekend. The other wheel suffered a mild ding. Derrick Malcom loaned me a pair of wheels and tires to get me through the rest of Sunday. This is what it's all about, and why NASA and its competitors stand out. Thanks, Derrick! :biggthump

Yeah it really is a helpful croud. Props again to Annie and Chuck for the NX nose. Tim helped me hold and hammer the fender back to semi straightness Saturday night and I helped Mike Patterson load the wounded AI Camaro with one of my spare uprights. Helping your fellow racers is one of the things that makes NASA great. Oh, that and watching Tom Paule drive his coffee table ;-)

No problem - got that whole Karma thing going now...

But while we're at it, mad props to Tom Paule as well for all he has done for me in getting my car going for this season. It was a whirlwind 2 week build prior to Cal Speedway, but the car seems off to a good start. A little more of his and other's help as well as a few more parts, and the next couple of races should get more interesting!

I'm as giving with my time as Mike has always been so generous with his time for me, and for all of the SE-R guys (and gals) really.

So an even bigger thanks to Mike for his time and energy, I'm just trying to give back all he's even given me by helping others.

Also, HUGE MAD PHAT props to Derrick for getting his car ready in time. It seemed everywhere he turned it was a "2 more week" delay for this, or an "Oh that won't be ready until July" for that. Any person or normal character would have given up, but Derrick fought through all the delays and keep on trying. I know that's the same persistance we'll see from him on the track once his car is fully up to snuff.

I fully expect ths year to get really crowded at the front of the SE-R Cup field, and I can't wait!

Tom is the best sport of all, time and time again, he puts others before himself.

So Carrie just said.

"Everyone get naked and hug!"

So when do you want to get together?

Man, this should be stickied as the official "Feel the Love" thread. :D

Man props to all the drivers who went out and raced in these tough conditions- I wish I could have been there.
