: Mad Props to Derrick Malcolm adg016 03-13-2006, 03:25 PM Bent a wheel in a two-off excursion at Cal Speedway this past weekend. The other wheel suffered a mild ding. Derrick Malcom loaned me a pair of wheels and tires to get me through the rest of Sunday. This is what it's all about, and why NASA and its competitors stand out. Tim helped me hold and hammer the fender back to semi straightness Saturday night and I helped Mike Patterson load the wounded AI Camaro with one of my spare uprights. Helping your fellow racers is one of the things that makes NASA great. But while we're at it, mad props to Tom Paule as well for all he has done for me in getting my car going for this season. It was a whirlwind 2 week build prior to Cal Speedway, but the car seems off to a good start. It seemed everywhere he turned it was a "2 more week" delay for this, or an "Oh that won't be ready until July" for that. Any person or normal character would have given up, but Derrick fought through all the delays and keep on trying. I know that's the same persistance we'll see from him on the track once his car is fully up to snuff.
