So true. The Barrett Jackson Auto Auction was on for 4 hours the other day. Who the hell wants to watch that for 4 hours?

I can't remember the last time I saw road racing. Wait, I remember, it was when NASCAR was at infineon. Lame.

They have an entire road racing series named after them, but they only show the races once. Why not reair at least that?

Go to Speed website. Type in Rally, Grand AM, SCCA and nothing will show up during the next 5 weeks or programming. I guess the FIA WRC is gone for good. THis is sad.

At least we still have F1. As long as you are awake or have a tivo since they don't reply it at 9pm anymore.

There is also the Speed GT and Touring

Then Grand Am.

Le Mans.

There is stuff but not as much as there used to be. I'm pretty disapointed about no WRC.

So who is going to step up and take what they left behind? If I knew how, I would seriously start a new automotive channel. There are so few quality shows, and as said above, not enough racing programming.

Hell, their homepage shows Speed GT as the first picture but it's only on like once a week in the middle of the day during the week half the time for a total of 12 programs. Check the NASCAR TV field and you have 244 programs for this month. Funny how the series named after the channel barely shows it. Hell the Barrett-Jackson auctions are on 37 times.

Lame.

As to another channel coming in to take up speed's slack and show all the other great road race action out there, I'd love to see it, but think that if it were a viable business model we'd have seen it by now. Hopefully I'm wrong and someone will step up to the plate.
