I recently purchased a Place Racing cai from ebay for $80 brand new! Unfortunatly when I got it the thing was for a lowport. I decided not to return it and pulled out the sawsall and went to work. The pipe that connects to the tb had 2-3 inches cut off the side facing the maf. Its a tight fit but it works nicely now. Just thought I would let you guys know the low port pr cai can work on a highport with some modification.

Note: Didnt have the maf adapter in yet.

I think the low port pipes should be better since the pipe from the t/b to the maf is straight and there is no bents just like the HS CAI.

Better flow, imo....If no one buys my lowport PR CAI for sale I will do this.....
I have one question, Did you cut the low port PR extension pipe cause I tried this but it was to long.. So what I did was use the PR intake pipe from the T/B to the MAF then use the HS extension pipe from the MAF to the fenderwell.

I didn't want to cut the PR extension put the sound of the intake with the PR/HS combo sounds very loud/better..

Knuckle, let me know how it feels and sound....

the only thing I cut was the tb to maf pipe. Ill get a pic of exactly how much I took off this weekend.

Oh, I installed the first half of the PR low port on my high port but the extension part was to long and I didn't want to cut it, since I was going to sell it.

Thanks and I will wait for additional info, if no one will buy my lowport CAI then may try your method since I feel it will be better than HS CAI.

Nice job! I just bought mine not 2 weeks ago and love the sound.. I don't know much about the fliter, but the cleaning of it looks like its going to be a pain in the ass. I'm still looking for a good price on a K&N RX-4990 filter but no such luck.

Actually the filter is very easy to clean. Theres bolts on the back of the filter which you take off and the whole filter element come out.

Yeah but what are you cleaning it with? Just water?

Yeah some hot water looks to be the best thing for it. I would personally rather have a k&n.

I ordered one off ebay also and they sent me a lowport one. I installed it and it fit like a glove. I flipped the seconday side though to make it fit, meaning I used the maf adapter side as the intake part and vise versa in order to fit properly on my p10.
