I was wondering something. I have seen some members here ,that has had their car repainted, paint the plastic door handles and mirrors. I'm wondering how well does this last? Seems to me that it would tend to flake or rub off. Do you people use some sort of primer or special paint or what?

I'm looking at a new paint job using Dupont's Diamonte (sp?) its good stuff but I have no experience with the plastic trim pieces I mentioned. Would some of you fine folks clue me in?

Ralph when I got my car repainted 5 years ago all my plastic peices were painted the same body color. Honestly it is holding up well. I remember seeing the car painted in primer completely so I figure that is what they did to make it hold. But if you do repaint your car I highly recommend painting all the plastics. It will look awesome!! Just promise me you will stay RED ;)

I had everything but the mirrors painted in November. The door handles are holding up well, but on the NX they were previously painted. They were not black plastic like on the classic. I kind of wish I had the mirrors painted.
