here's my dilemma: the AD22VF's that i bought were polished and clear coated. well, apparently the coating couldn't handle the heat and has cracked. with the cracks, the raw metal is exposed, throw in some H2O, and viola! i now have rusty (crappy looking) front brakes. :(
should i just buy some of that caliper paint and go to work?

Dont be foolish and buy "caliper paint", its not worth spending that much, go to Walmart, buy some 99 cent silver paint, and you're done.
Trust me it works. I used some of Rob's (SE-Rican) bright silver paint, and its been on my calipers for almost a year now. That is some real good stuff there.

paint them. you might be able to see them on my pic but mine are red. i know its kinda ricey, but i think it looks good. i did by caliper paint, but you can go other routes...just make sure its quality paint.

These calipers have been painted since summer 2001, and they are still holding up very well, you dont need to spend $4+ for caliper paint.

you don't have to use a high temp paint for the calipers?

might be a good idea to paint them with high temp... i would think that they would get pretty warm.

Powder coat them. I have powder coated 2 sets of calipers and they look great. Powder coat is 4x thicker than paint is much more durable. It is also good to 600+ degrees.

Powdercoated calipers would look nice, but I think for 99 cents you cant go wrong with Walmart paint.

i had mine off the car anyway so i picked up the $4 caliper paint in black. i scrubbed them with a scouring pad and sprayed a few coats on.. i didn't get great coverage because the metal is textured (bumpy) so it could have been better. worth doing though. guess i should the front brakes too.. hehee..
if yellow means fast i guess i can't use yellow on the front since brakes are for slowing down. hummmm..

Serban,
Are those rims the new FigaRotas?
I cant find them online anywhere.
I might just paint some 200SX SE-R rims black if I cant find them.
