Do the clutch yourself, but an ACT clutch, it costs about $300 for the kit, plus you'll have a much better clutch when you're done...IMHO

To have my clutch installed, just for labor, the lowest I found was 500 for labor alone. The dealer wanted 900, and they didn't wanna do a clutch that I didn't buy from them. So, i would have had to tack on another 200 or so for their clutch kit.
Had I known at the time (i hadn't found the forum yet, or taken any repairs on by myself), I would have done the clutch cable by myself. However, they had my car there for a week (which was ok, because i didn't need it at the time), but I was getting antsy to drive it again so when they told me I needed a new clutch cable as well, I just gave them the go ahead and the bastards charged another 60 in labor for that.
So, a whole clutch job: resurfacing the flywheel, installing the clutch, and installing the clutch cable costed me 560 for labor alone.
