WTFaNG 03-27-2006, 04:50 AM I have Succesfully installed the whiteline 4pt brace and the progress lower control arm brace, in my car!

as for fitment, the downpipe on my exhuast is laying right on the progress bar. And i think my shift linkage is also hitting the progress bar. for the space between the bar its about half an inch from touching.
the only reason I went through with this, was because I couldnt pass up a great deal for the whiteline brace, and I was to lazy to try and sell the progress. so all in all im am now very happy with my car.
91 Talon 03-27-2006, 09:36 AM I think that almost constitutes overkill. :D
I like it.
~KnuckleDuster~ 03-27-2006, 10:29 AM I never knew they both fit togther :eek2:
SoloSol 03-27-2006, 10:32 AM was this hard to install or something. The way you worded your post made it sound as if it was difficult...
rowdy-GTi 03-27-2006, 11:46 AM Not much ground clearance....or is your car VERY low?!

Well ive searched the forum for a while to see if anyones ever done this, and probably came across only one thread. Threads before that were just a bunch of chatter.

Shawn B 03-27-2006, 05:13 PM I guess your lower control arm is fairly well braced. ;)
vladha 03-27-2006, 05:35 PM Just seeing your picture with the car off the stands makes me want to re-think the Whiteline brace. I've actually to mine on the car and have been really careful, but still... eek. Right now I'm on the stock suspension, but have the Progress suspension coming, and will be dropping the car about an inch or so.
Hmmm, I wonder if the LCA works as well as the Whiteline, by itself? If it does, I'll sell the Whiteline and get the LCA.
Peace,
Mark
Zexel 03-27-2006, 11:04 PM Ground clearance is the only reason I'm not going with the Whiteline brace. Did anyone else notice the Progress brace already has a ding/scratch mark on it? Think about the Whiteline brace being another 1.25-1.5" lower.
WTFaNG 03-28-2006, 04:07 AM For the ground clearance im actually lower then whats recomended out there. Im sure most of you guys out there wont be dumpin your car. heres some pics for preference on how low that car is.

im rockin B14 rims right now so that raised the car up a bit
as for the scratches on the progress bar, its from storing it in the trunk with some jack stands =X
specalk 03-28-2006, 10:26 PM where can u buy both of them bars at? and how much do they usually go for
Bounty Hunter 03-28-2006, 11:00 PM Nice...possibly overkill, but nice still. :biggthump
Where did you buy the Whiteline brace?
brokeser 03-29-2006, 02:26 AM I mucho likey... No such thing as overkill when it comes to bracing a b13. Hmmmmm.........I wonder what a Progress fsb looks in that melee.

I actually do Have the front sway bar, but decided not to go with it since people said it would bring back some understeer, but now that i think about it I kinda wish i put in the FSB before putting those braces in... =\
vladha 03-29-2006, 06:57 AM Your shifter linkage should not be bumping into the bar. I think you're right, that your mounts may be bad, and/or, you have the car lowered too much.
Peace,
Mark
Sentrixx 03-29-2006, 09:17 AM Not much ground clearance....or is your car VERY low?!
yeah that looks really scary to me.
AG>SR 03-29-2006, 10:26 PM .........now you have to swerve ALL the way around roadkill...........how many miles you have on the combo? any creaking in the rear??
Jaketips42 03-29-2006, 10:45 PM I hope you used a high grade bolt for the lower control arm replacement. I would definetly say overkill though. But hey, I say to each his own.

Ive been on the combo for about 4 days now, and theres really know new creaks, the creakings only started when i put in my Nismo front strut bar.
