For all of you who have replaced bearings, then you know what I'm talking about. For those of you that have DET's and have not checked your bearings, you better! 1 of the 4 rod bearing caps is adios. 4 of the 5 main bearing caps are trashed. At cost, that comes out to $130 for all 10 main bearings and $40 for the 8 rod bearings. On top of that, the crank might need to be reground/replaced. WHAT FUN!!! How in the hell can these people not change their damn oil? Is there some kind of japanese rule that says not to? Oh well, what's next, shitty compression?:mad: You just cannot do a DET cheap. Everyone is right on this one...whatever your budget is, double it! I'm sure others have had better luck and have not even opened their engine, but I'd rather be safe then sorry. Oh well, had to rant!
