Anyone raced with a 205/50R15 with these? Any issues? I know a 35 mm is more ideal...

I run 15x6.5 with a 38mm offset and a 205/50R15 tire and I have not had any issues. Possibly the right rear was rubbing against the strut housing but I think that the rear on that car was just a hair off. I was not running any wheel spacers either.

EDIT

Shouldn't be any problems.

I'm going to test fit a wheel which is being sent to me and I'll report back. I think a 38 mm on a 7-inch wheel might cause more of a problem, but we'll see. Thanks, Steve.

It's possible that spacers will have to be used. Look forward to the report back.

There's about a million threads for wheel fitment. Use the Search. Many people have used 42 with spacers.

I ran some 16x7 38mm wheels with 205-45-16s on my P10, and it was fine. Different wheel size, but same overall height. They were plenty far away from the strut, just didn't clear the fender unless I rolled the lip up, which was easy. The NX has the same tire/strut clearance and probably more fender clearance.

Just pop on a 5mm spacer, crack open a cold one and congratuate yourself on a job well done.

Unless I have to I won't. I don't want to buy two sets of spacers for 205 and 225.

My Kosei K1-R's are 15x7, 38mm offset with Kumho Victoracer V700, 205/50R-15. No issues whatsoever in the front. The back, however, is another story. The sidewall of the tires make contact with the rear struts (KYB AGX), but I'm guessing that's due to sidewall flex, as it barely clears when the car is stationary.

I now use some 3mm spacers, but I now have a minor problem with the fender making slight contact with the wheel under hard cornering.

Well, there you have it. You can't run a 35mm wheel?

It's a bit more complicated than that...

I think the NX has more forgiving wheel wells than that classic SE-R.

Agreed. It's the strut rub that's the issue.

So spacers may be a doable solution.

I don't want to run two sets of diff spacers and wheel studs. Blah...

then get 195's. 195-50-15 on 15x7 40mm offset with agx's no spacers and no rubbing problems

Dan,

Just give up racing. Problem solved.

Hope this helps.

And here I thought you'd recommend running 165s...

no problem in the rear of my car at all with 205's and 38 et. Front: I rub pretty bad on inner fender, had to use a 5/16" spacer.
