i just wanted to know that you can still have ac in a nx2k with a bluebird motor. i went to claws motorsports and they had a trr racing manifold for sale. have you guys ever heard of this company? :confused:

yeah, I have my AC hooked up on my bb det, it works good to.:D

Well, take this for what it's worth: When we put a BB DET into my NX2000, we had to remove the AC. Now keep in mind that this was years ago, and it was the first turbo system that Hotshot ever made. It was more experimental thahn anything else, and the AC got in the way of the piping. Also, the NX has less room in the front than the SE-R does.

Now I'm not saying it can't be done, but it might be a little tricky. It's easier to do in the SE-R. Oh by the way, I'm assuming you're talking about keeping the AC with a front mount intercooler, right? With a top mount IC I don't think keeping the AC would be an issue.

Hey Lonewolf, sorry but I didn't see you had a nx2, I don't know if the AC will work. I have a SE-R and it worked out fine.

well i want my nx2k to be my daily driver if i can't have ac i might just get the turbo compents from the bluebird and put them on. you still think i be able to keep my ac? (with a front mount intercooler)

I just bought the RevHard Manifold and the turbo bolts in below it, so I'm gonna be forced to remove the A/C and actually move the radiator fan to the front... kinda sucks, but it really isn't my daily driver, so I'm cool with it.

Raser X where did you get your manifold from. Does the Garrett turbo fit on there with no problem, i mean is there any clearance problem that you would run into like the Fmax manifold with Garrett turbo the head might to be shaved.

I bought it from Louis Anaya (used to be APEXSER, now TurboChargedSER). I'm just now piecing it all together... I haven't had the "pleasure" of finding out what will need to be modified to have it fit, other than the fact that I know I won't have any A/C... I'm hoping within the next 2 months it'll be near completion.

Crikey but thats some long pipework!!! I used to have the BB intercooler up frount, but I just brought the pipes out either side of the radiator. See pics on www.geocities.com/nxrdet .
Ive now got a big ass plate and bar cooler, use the same piping. I dont have Aircon, didnt come with the car, but there is heaps of room for it because the pipe off the turbo goes up across the frount of the engine, then down beside the radiator.

Did you have clearance problems with the metal bumper? I ended up taking off the metal bumper to get some space but I want to put it back because its not a very safe thing to do.
