So I'm out with my wife tonight going on a leasurly drive in our Si through the country. We came to a spot where our road merged with another country road... I merged. There was another car coming down the road. No problem. It was going faster than normal... no problem. Now, I don't like holding people up when I'm driving out in the country... people tend to drive fairly fast on this road and a lot of people come back here to play and drive real fast. So I speed up a little... I figured he'd slow way down for the next corner. He didn't. Hmmm... this guy is still close. One of his headlights is off... so it's REALLY annoying. I speed up a little more thinking I'll just put some room inbetween us and then even if we're both speeding... it won't bother me. (Note, we're the only 2 cars out on this road for the last few minutes... all this room and he has to follow me close.) He keeps pace. Hmmmm... ok, maybe he's in a hurry and wants to pass. After the next turn I slow down to only slightly above the speed limit. He keeps pace. He doesn't pass. Hmmm... Ok, I'll lose him in the next turn. I take the turn fairly fast for most cars figuring I'd lose him easily. I did gain ground, but he quickly made it up. So now I figure this guy wants to play... or he's trying to annoy the hell out of me with his bad headlight. So the next turn is a real sharp 90 degree turn. I take it as fast as I dare after being blinded a bit by his lights... which is to say still very fast, and then I gun it up to about 90-100 down the next straight. He's trying, but he's not keeping up this time. We're almost back to normal roads again. The next turn is a long sweeping turn that I take near the safe limits of the car... then I do about 60 down the next straight and start slowing my run down through the next turn. This car has been trying to keep up with me but can't... and I put enough room in between us that I could still see his headlights, but they were no longer RIGHT BEHIND ME. =) So after I leave the last turn I'm approaching the intersection - red light... I'm slowing to a crawl... it turns green I'm following a car through it. I look in my rear view to see the car that was following me is now getting in the lane to make a left hand turn... I watch it go through the intersection... no shit. That's a Hillsborough Country Sheriff's Crown Vic. Nice... just played tag with a cop. Glad he didn't pull me over. He had to know that was me going through the light. I wonder why he played tag? I wonder why he didn't pull me over when he lost? Oh well, I would of told him the truth... his headlight is misadjusted and was bothering the crap out of me. Hmmmm

Friday I was heading up to Orlando again with one of my boys.
I was in my Clasic and he was in his B16 CRX. We're hauling ass about 80-100 down I-4 and the Moroon Crown Vic is just zig zagging with us. At first I got woried it was a cop but after 20 miles of this I figured he was cool. Finally I give it a rest and the Crown Vic zooms past us and on his plate it read "State Troop"
and I saw the usual rear mounted blue lights. DOH!!!!
It was a trip!!! Maybe they want Import Cars. :rolleyes:

brad you are so lucky..lol.. if i were doing 1mph over the limit on that same road they would have had me pinned to the ground in cuffs.. oh well thats just my luck.. congrats on beating that cop and not going to jail for it:D ..you too smoothdaddy

Something like that has happened to me before on Dale. I see this little riced honda and at a light we both take off. We are prolly doing about 80 I am in the far left and he in the far right. All of a sudden a white crown vic comes between us. The driver is a sherriff he looks at both of us smiling, I down shift like a motherfucker he laughs, but the honda keeps going (not realizing) then you see the cop look at him and the Honda slams on his brakes slight fish tale action, funniest shit ever. Cop was cool though. I also was fdoing 70 on Dale one time and a cop was behind me apparently, but I didn't look in my mirror, when he pulled me over I thought it was for something else. He asked me how fast I was going I said prolly like 55-60 and that the speed limit was 45 there. He let me go. I was shocked so I shook his hand..lol. Some cops are cool.
