What is the safest and largest shot of NOS I can put on my 10:1 motor? Will a 75 dry shot be ok. Should I upgrade the fuel or ignition?

call JWT and ask them. Go with the JWT setup. It is worth every penny.

High compression loves juice. Just be cautious on your shot. A 75 shot is cool just becareful the car does not lean out. After a 75 shot more fuel delivery may be needed.

You'll be fine, but if you decide to go above 70-75 you will need to upgrade your fuel pump...Make sure you have constant bottle pressure..

I was under the impression that the opposite was true. I was told by Mike K. that an 11:1 motor (which I have and will be installing very soon) and a 100 shot (which I want to do) would be too dangerous (risk of detonation) on super pump gas. He said it would work with race gas though. Do you have other information to the contrary? By the way I already have the upgraded fuel pump and MSD 50 lb/hr injectors w/ JWT fuel rail.

11:1 is quit different than 10:1, retard the timming and don't use such a high shot. Your car should pull really hard already *** of the 11:1, use a smaller shot..unless your bottom end is beefed up?

Both Mike K. and Dan Paramore of Dan Paramore Racing (the guy who built my engine) both felt that the bottom end in the SR20DE is strong enough stock to handle around 300hp. This is what I anticipated having w/ a 100 shot. I do have ARP main cap bolts, DET piston oil squirters and JWT forged AL pistons. Both the pistons and the valves have Swain coatings also. I think the reason they said I couldn't do a 100 shot on pump gas w/ the 11:1 compression is due to the definite possibility of detonation. The timing would have to be reduced so much that any gains of the 100 shot over say a 50 shot would not be worth it. My goal was to use only super pump gas not race fuel.

When you say use a smaller shot, what do you think? 50? 75?

I am also beginning to look into the possibility of using the 100 shot w/ water injection as a detonation suppressant so I could do this w/ pump gas. I am really uneducated about how this could work and I have found nothing out there as of yet to help me with this scenario.
