we had a nissan dyno day meet today. it was a blast, first off. jimr came and proved that he has one extremely strong sr20de, and brad woolworth made 146hp at the wheels with his new s3's. this is on stock exhaust, folks.

anyways, it was my turn. i hooked her up and let her rip. my first run showed up with 122.6hp. i have 17 degrees timing and a place racing cold air intake. i thought i'd get way more than 141hp at the freaking crank out of that setup. well, the second run comes around. i made 122.9hp out of it. my car is obviously consistant, but the shocker is the torque. my car made 123.2ft/lbs of torque!! i have more torque than horsepower! i still can't get over it.

here's my dyno slip. i highlighted the stuff that was interesting in the second file i'm going to host. i moved the fans around on the second run to get them more situated with my cai, could that've done the magical torque difference you'll see in the slip? someone help me here! :)

I wouldnt expect more then 124hp with that set-up.
Intake+timing

I made 139 with I/H/E and 17* timing.
I think I can break 140 with my stock rims and a cooler engine.

Get that header and exhaust and you'll be rollin hard and chirping 3rd all damn dIZay!!!

your JDM SR20 ahve 10:1 compression piston.. we USDM are stuck with 9.5:1...

I wouldnt worry one bit. You only have an intake. Sure air gets in faster but how fast can it leave?

Anyways when i dynoed my 200sx SE-R w/ header and CAI i got only 130whp and 129 torque. So its not that bad.

Then I got an exhaust, pulleys, 92 intake cam, and bam! 148whp and 135 torque.

Just add some more mods and youll be fine.

Hey Monsoon, you forgot to mention your dad making 8 hp and 9 ft/lb's just from timing!!! It was freaking amazing! 8 wheel horsepower just from changing to 19*, sure it was set on 10* on the first run, but still is impressive!
