i had a great time. i loved meeting jim rowland again, and his friend vance. both of them were awesome. turnout was pretty good, and we all learned a lot about our cars today. jim's se-r pulled an incredible 122hp to the wheels and the motor is essentially stock! that is one strong puppy! i learned i have a torque monster, and my dad learned that timing can make a huge difference.
all in all, a great time. :D
Four hours of driving to stand in a bitterly cold, damp dyno shop all day long - I'd do it again anytime.

Click here to see the full-sized chart (http://www.ipa.net/~pmthomp/jimr/jimrdyno.jpg).
For a near stock '92 SE-R with 119k miles on the clock, 122.7hp and 119.3ft-lb torque made me happy. This was with 91 octane gas, 17 degree timing, and a modified stock airbox (http://serjimr.tripod.com/airbox.html) with panel filter.
Of the cars on hand, we had four '92 SE-Rs roll today, and three of them were Aztec Red. Classic Power! An absolutely bone stock BB DET put down 194hp and over 200ft-lb torque. Not bad for minimal tuning, but the success story of the day was when the timing was bumped on Ryan's Dad's car, as you can read about separately. Not only did the peak power and torque rocket up, but the entire curve trend shifted upwards. A total night and day difference.
I've got some good pics, too. I'll get those up in the next day or so. http://www.sr20deforum.com/images/icons/icon14.gif
