Rittmeister 03-24-2002, 11:02 PM I have researched this topic exhaustively but not found the answer to my question: will tranny fluid that says its good for GL-3, GL-4, and GL-5 work for our cars, or will it eat the syncros like straight GL-5? The guy at AZ says GL-5 will work, that it's just improved GL-4, which shows how much he knows about our cars. It can also be used in rear axles where an API Service GL-4 lubricant is recommended.
