I run Race gas 114+ octane on my SE-R? Can I crank my timing like all the way up to like 22 or 23 degree and get more power?

Im thinking its probably not a good idea to be going past 20 or 21 even when it comes to timing.....the higher your go, the greater the risk of detonation and then eventual engine failure. I have mine set at 19 degrees and im using 93 octane....im happy with this and i felt a signicant difference when i adjusted it.

he'd be running 114 octane though, not 93 octane.

i'm not sure how good it'd do, and i don't even know if it'd be worth it. sorry mate. :(

As far as I'm aware of, all race gases contain lead, which can destroy our catalytic converters in no time at all. You may not want run it straight, but rather dilute it with standard 91/92 octane gas. I've had friends who have done so and had their cats tolerate it. Something to think about.
