Hey, where'd my engine go?

Gotta love the tracer:

Looks like the oil filter knocked into something (PS line?) in the accident:

Now I just need to figure out how to drag that thing into the basement while I get it ready to go in the shell. I ordered a Mossey WP underdrive pulley today, as well as a new valve cover to replace the one with the hole in it. I'll post some pics of the shell next week after I get it.

I think I'm just gonna put it on my porch on an engine stand. Easier then taking it to the basement, but still on solid ground, protected, where I can easily work on it with plenty of light.

Ha, we don't have any "real" niegbors. Those houses you see are our back yard niegbors. Looking from the front of our house, we have a gas station on one side of us and a storage place on the other. Hurray for sweet college house :D. On a side note, don't ever do an engine swap on gravel :(.

Just put a large garbage bag over the engine, Mike, and seal up the open end around the engine stand. It should be okay like that.

Garbage bags are the perfect size for SR engines.

I think I'm just gonna put it up on the porch on the side of the house. Its more protected there, and easier to work on. I'm painting the block and installing a few things on it.

Wrecked the car. I guess its harder to tell now. Look at the radiator support in the pics. The fenders are also messed up. The VE is going into a nice clean shell.

I honestly think that car could be fixed with a new rad support and two new fenders. It might be worth the time! Nice man. VEs are the shit!

It probably will be eventually. I've got my old DE at home that I'll put in it.

Thanks. Yeah, I did the swap myself last summer. Going to try to make it a little bit cleaner this time.
