Can anyone give me an estimate of how far I could drive on a fully charged battery and a dead alternator? I am trying to see if I can drive it to the shop instead of having it towed.

Also are the batteries in the b13 and the P10 interchangeable?

ASSUMING you have a fully charged battery that holds a charge and you either push start or it fires up quickly, AND you leave lights and fans and radios off and you're not stuck in traffic so the cooling fans come on, several hours anyway before it dies.

I drove from Richmond VA to Blacksburg VA (about 3.5 hours) on one battery. I was monitering it the hole time on my techtom, watching the voltage slowly drop. I used absolutly no acceseries. No lights, no radio, no ac. City driving will kill it quicker, but as long as your starting on a full battery you should be ok just driving to a shop.

Thanks that will save me 100 bucks. Im taking the car to an electric shop, Its not just the alternator, it may be the harness.
