i bored a 92 maf and high polished the inside
however when i installed it, it idled really rough
i have a std jwt ecu upgrade and a fpr
i know it is running leaner but is there anything i can do to get it to idle smoother or would it require a reprogram from jwt
someone suggested to raise the fp
any ideas guys on the diy mod

find out what the ecu is programed for, and get that diameter maf. it sounds like its programed for a stock maf, just go get a stock housing and see if it runs any better. make sure you set the fuel pressure at 36psi w/ vacume and 44 w/o

dont do that, just send the ecu back to jwt and have it tuned for your maf bored

go ahaid and raise the fuel pressure, but its not a good way to go about it.

to keep your afr where it should be under load your going to need to raise the fuel pressure quit a bit, but at idle that larger maf wont be pulling much more air, so your idle will jsut be really rich.

do it the right way, there is no reason to have a bored maf unless your making over 240whp. and if you are, get your ecu retuned.

i had a spare housing and a machine and was bored so i bored, lol
will try bumping pressure on the fpr and see if it helps, if not JWT for him

got my bored MAF from SP Competition today, it looked like ass (no offense SP), and I was more bored than the MAF was, so I cleaned it up

Yeah, I threw in a maf I bored myself and it would cough inbetween gears and just not seem right. So I put the original back and it's better again.
