How many classic owners would like a stb for the rear of their car?

I would be depending, of course, on price and availability. Also, although it is in the back, I would be very interested in seeing what it would look like.

I would be interested in one depending on how it installs and the design (because of the limit clearance/access to the rear strut towers) in B13 Sentras.

Do you have any more info? Pictures?

I'm should have one ready for pics. within 10 to 14 days. They should weigh less than 4 pounds. It will mount in the trunk using grade 5 bolts.Powdercoating in ??? colors will be the finish. All depends on what people want. I planned on function first and fashion second when I started this project.

i know a couple motorsport guys are PRO-Rear STB... ill be interested if you can get thier endorsement. Im interested in shifting the balance of my car's handling. Ill have a rear brace before a front brace, if i ever get a front brace.

These are available for the B13's guys. You just have to search for em. I will be getting one within 4-5 weeks then I can post pictures for all.

I'm interested only if it connects both strut towers in the same manner front strut bars do. A forum member began making a rear STB for b-13's, but I'm not a fan of it's design. It's basically a pipe that is wedged in between the rear strut tower walls.

If so, then it will require cutting the sheet metal, right? I'd be more interested in one that mounted inside the cabin and didn't require any cutting. In SCCA Solo II's Street Mod class you're allowed to run without your back seat, so having a cabin mounted strut bar would be preferred. In fact, I think Pat Griffith has a one off rear strut bar that is cabin mounted and allows him to retain the back seat.

no sheetmetal cutting will be required. drilling 4 7/16" holes in the towers is the most complicated part of the install. (2 holes per tower)

there is aperson that auto x's a b13 that has one, but from what he had said(if I remember correctly) he had some oversteer issues. His basicly was a hand me down one off (whew). His went through the samll cutouts and across the backing area where the seat attaches. This allowed the seat to be attached but also allowed a small glimpse of the bar. The only way that one could possibly do a straight through type design would be to cut the metal and that makes it hard to sell on a mass production basis. Hell even a small basis run. Good luck though on your endeavor

That person should be Pat Griffith. I believe the bar was a hand-me-down from Mike Garner. Geez, that was a long time ago!

I ran the Naeyart rear bar on my previous SE-R. The car would rotate very nicely. Of course, you could get the same effect running a rear sway bar like the adjustable N-tech bar on the stiff setting.

I sold the rear STB last year for around $4,500! It included an entire SE-R, though, plus some other goodies. :D

I didn't like the rear STB when I first installed it because it made the car too tail-happy. This was in my young motorsports career. After a little more experience, it felt better. :)

Here's my page on the rear STB:

It doesn't involve cutting or drilling.

Check out Pat's SE-R Site (http://www.hmp.net/slowse-r/diy/rear_stb.html) and you will see what I believe to be the best designed rear strut bar for B-13's.

Me too. The design that wedges or screws a bar between both shock towers in the trunk is not going to cut it for me. My back seat no longer exists so having one that mounts the same as the front STB is the only design I'd consider buying and the only one that would have any significant impact IMHO.

Bah, I have a roll-bar cage. I don't need any of this stuff. But I'm still interested, any bracing is good bracing. :D

It looks like my driving impressions and pics will have to wait untill next week when i get my stb back. I just came back from the powdercoating shop that was going to do the stb's. They sent mine to somebody in Utah! WTF!!!!! They said it got mixed up with someone's panhard bar. I guess the only thing good is that this one is free of charge for the powdercoating. SORRY, I didn't plan on something like this happening. I will keep everybody posted on new developments. :D
