Hey, I own a '97 Sentra GXE (damnit), and was wondering if anyone might know how much it would cost to swap in a
SR16VE
SR16VE N1
SR20VE
or
SR20DE

I am a complete newbie with Nissan's, and was just wondering if anyone's had it done (where, if you live in Texas) and what they wound up paying in the end...

SR16VE - $1500 motor plus labor
SR16VE N1 - good luck finding one
SR20VE - $2500 plus labor
SR20DE - $500-800 plus labor

Plus tranny.

It'd be cheaper just to sell it and buy a classic. Pick up the rest of the kit n' kaboodle to boot that way.

I agree with calum - I'm doing a GA to DET swap right now, your also leaving out:

Tranny like what was mentioned - $500
Axles - $150+
ECU - $100?
Wiring Harness - $100?
All the DE sensors - $200ish
Gauge Cluster - (Optional but will show higher redline) - $70+
Motor mounts - few hundred

Anyways you quickly get into some moooohhhlaaa....
And you still have weaker front and rear brakes and a tiny exaust....
