Does this intake cam look burned up. I am in the middle of the install and openedup my valve cover and mine is perfectly clean. I'm worried that this one is in to bad of a condition. The lobes aren't pitted or anything.

Around the face of the lobes their is also a build up that chips off easily that sticks out a little bit past the face of the lobe. I know, I should have been more prepared.

Never Mind. The cam is screwed. I went and got a caliper to measure it and it's deffinetly wornout.

One of the first things I did when I got my bqe was replace the oil galleries - the squirters tend to clog. GET NEW TUBES. Easy to replace while you're in there.

That was a spare engine I got from a forum member. My engine looks brand new. That's why I was afraid to put the intake cam from the spare on my motor. Thanks anyway for the help.
