recentley my car has been making this swishing noise(thats the only way i can describe it) at speed. it varies depending on the speed, and its quiet from inside the car, but if i roll the window down while im next to someone going like 40 its really loud like swish swish swish, really fast. sounds like maybe it might be brake related, almost like the brakes are dragging or something? also, when i start moving from a stop, there is a loud metallic grinding kind of high pitched, but it goes away once you speed up or apply the brakes..... wheel bearing? help me out here guys
Thanks

I had a very very very similar problem on my car. I'd describe the noise in the same way, and it would disappear if i went faster (maybe just because the windnoise masked the sound) but it also went away when I made left hand turns.
I had the rotors turned, and it went away somewhat. A few weeks later (after a tire rotation) the noise came back with a slightly different pitch, eventually turning into a high pitched scrape (similar to fingernails on a blackboard). It turns out whoever did the rotation on my tires bent the dust shield on the brakes so that it scraped on the rotor. I just pulled the shield back and voila!....no more noises.
