I hate to break this to you dude, but a fuel pressure regulator is pretty much useless on an SR20. The main reason they can be useful on, say, a Honda is becuase when you modify the car with for example an intake and a header, you change the volumetric efficiency. Since Hondas are equipped with a speed-density fuel injection system, this does not compensate for changes in VE, so the air fuel mixture will be off at wide open throttle, because at WOT, the copmuter ignores the oxygen sensor and reverts to preset fuel and timing maps which are now incorrect due to the change in VE. The mixture would be lean, but with the FPR, you can richen it up to compensate for the extra aitflow. SR20s use a mass airflow system shich directly measures the amount of air entering the engine, so if you modify it, it automatically compensates. Besides this, our engines already run pig rich, especially at top end, so upping the fuel pressure would probably result in a loss of power and mileage. If you were runnig a turbo, and more boost than the computer is tuned for, then a FPR might come in handy, but I doubt you are running this setup. This has been backed up by people that have tried a FPR and could not find any gains on the dyno.

Ditto what FastNX said, it will do nothing for an SR unless maybe your Turbo or have a dry N20 set-up.

well, im runnin kinda lean and my idle feels funny, so i thought i would give it a try.... any ideas... i advanced my timing already to about 19degrees, if it dont do anything i figure ill just save it for my turbo upgrade...

how do you know you're running lean? dont tell mre youre running a lean/rich guage off of your stock O2 sensor because that will be as useless as a boost guage would be on your car. The idle problem is probably the BPT valve, an easy to fix problem, you can find a how-to on SE-R.net
