first, calling around for clutch jobs(8 different places so far), the best i found from a place i would trust was about $600 for OEM replacement and turning the flywheel...not sure what it would run if i supplied the JWT PP, but do you think this is about what a clutch job is gonna run? comes with a 1 year warranty as well, not sure what it covers..decent deal or getting screwed?
second, need to replace the valve cover gasket, any words of wisdom or hints to help out? dont think its that hard, just any little thing helps. should i just use the red RTV stuff from the dealer? and how big should the bead be? just a little bit, or a little more, or...
Thanks guys

I bought my clutch from Nissan for $249.99 cdn.
Machine Flywheel - $75 cdn.
4Litres Redline oil - $56 cdn.
6.1 Hours Labour (what the book says) - $65cdn x 6.1 = $396.50
Total = 777.49 + tax (15%)
= $894.11 cdn
894.11 / 1.60 (exchange rate) = 558.82 usd.
A little cheaper using better oil, but you get the idea as to the cost.

It is VERY easy to do. You don't really need any sealant but i doesn't hurt. The hardest part is not breaking the bolts when you're re-installing the valve cover, but that won't happen if you have a torque wrench and an FSM.
Just make sure you correctly place the gasket inside the groove on the underside of the valve cover and it stays in place when you put it back on.

Thats way too high for an OEM clutch job!! :eek:
I paid DF Centerforce $325
Install $250
Turn Flywheel $15-$25 :confused:
As for your second question, it sounds like you need to get yourself a Haynes Manual.
This page can help you out with the bolt sequences.
