Here is the scenario:

I drive my car in the rain and let it sit for at least a day. The next day when I go to drive, as I gently let off the clutch to drive off, it seems the car is stuck, then this loud click sound and the car drives off. Could it be something is rusting (the brake components are stuck as a result of rust???)...Anyone experience this? Any feedback is appreciated.

Whenever it rains my brakes grind a little at first (if I haven't driven them in awhile), then as soon as I get a couple good stops on them the grinding stops. Those are factory Toyota rotors too, so I guess it isn't limited to aftermarket rotors.

It's your rear calipers sticking. If it's damp out, and you're parked on a level surface, leave the car in gear and don't engage the parking brake.
