: Stock Dyno HP???
squeezinSE 03-28-2002, 04:31 PM Has anyone dynoed they're car while it was completely stock...no mods whatsoever?
If you have what were your numbers?
I'm trying to figure out because I'm only pulling 126.4 with Dynamax Catback, HS Headers and HS Cold Air and I'm seeing ppl with a lot higher numbers and the same mods.
This is for cars that are DE equipped.
Thanks a lot
Serban 03-28-2002, 04:53 PM That seems a little low, I think stock is around 120 or so. I did 146 with warm air intake, pacesetter headers, pullies, and exhaust, on a JDM engine.
RollcageSR20 03-28-2002, 05:00 PM My NX made 123hp, 119lb/ft of torque last year when it was completely stock... 15deg timing, 91 octane gas, and that's about it.

Have you done a complete tune up on your car? SCC did an article way back after they bought their Project Sentra SE-R and did a tune up and found a good number of hp. Things like new plugs, wires, dizzy, cap, rotor, MAF reground, timing, etc can restore the hp that you should have.
blackb13 03-28-2002, 06:29 PM I dynoed 117.8 hp with advanced timing and shitty 87 octane. This was completely stock, down to the paper filter.
ClassicSE-R 03-28-2002, 07:10 PM 119-123 is the normal range for a totally stock car.

Have you tried advanced timing?
keithert 03-28-2002, 10:50 PM Last weekend we visited the dyno. There were 2 stock SE-R's and my mostly stock NX. My NX did 110HP and 102 TQ. One of the other SE-R's had numbers that were about 1 point higher. The other SE-R was a bit higher. It was 117HP and I don't remember the TQ.

Well, damn you too Jordan! :D I'm going to get more things, the other half of the cai, maybe cams, try to get the most I can out of this engine.

Your car must be pulling pretty hard. And you don't even have cams or ECU. S4 cams and JWT s3/s4 ECU and I'd like to see you in the 160hp range.
Serban 03-29-2002, 07:13 PM We'll see, I need to get money first before I can do anything else. But I'd like to see 160 whp myself. :D

Right behind you. Just need some pullies, baby!!!!
I got a big fat clan ready to help with the install too.
Serban 03-29-2002, 08:34 PM Pullies will not give you 20hp Figs! :D But if they do, you gotta tell me how you put em on, maybe mine are on there backwards :p
djisnx2000 03-29-2002, 11:55 PM I did 113 whp. Notice my engine has 134k miles.
Walrus FTW!!! 03-30-2002, 07:12 PM 146.6HP on US spec OE SR20( RIP ) with HS Gen3 header, Greddy exhaust and HS CAI. R&D dyno in Cali nuff said.

FlodaSE-R 05-14-2004, 08:53 AM I just dyno'd my car yesterday and was concerned with the low numbers. A search pulled up this thread and it made me feel even more paranoid.
I have a bone stock jdm motor (50k miles or so) and it did 110hp/101tq. I was very disappointed. My first run was actually 101hp/99tq :(
ApacheXMD 05-15-2004, 03:52 PM just an fyi, resurrecting 2 year old threads is confusing to the rest of us
