what would be involved in removing a sunroof?. i dont care about the interior but i dont want a lumpy roof. would i have to get a whole new roof put on?

Basically, you would have to remove everything, get a piece of metal welded in the place of where the sunroof was, and have a body shop touch it up. You will also need to get the headliner from a 2 door Sentra with no sunroof, otherwise you still have that bulge.

The cleanest way to do it would be to get a junkyard car and cut off the roof section and graft it onto your car. This is the way a lot of rally teams prefer to do it. Some people have decent luck welding in sheetmetal and using bondo, sanding, etc. Alternately, I'm (very slowly) working on a carbon fiber sunroof plug for the SE-R cup cars, so that may be an option in the future.
