Today i just finish washing my car and my rims, just about to go out to pick up my clear corner and to put my Stillen GTR lip on. I was in the highway doing about 70mph crusing and blasting my radio, all the sudden when i forward the gas the car wouldn't go no where, i down shift to 3rd gear and punch it, the car still didn't move. i turn my radio off and i hear some pink pink noise, than all the sudden there goes the white smoke coming out of my hood into the car and i got to a complete stop and i saw oil leaking to the floor. I was like "Fuck".

I was having problem with no power up top Rpm and mis-firing alot. This motor finally quit on me , i was expecting this will happen one day.

Hope my car will be running soon!!! i guess i cannot make it to the MOROSO in West palm beach FLorida on April 8. Sorry south florida people.

hey how many miles did oyu have on the motor? did oyu take care of it and how did you drive? I just want to know how long mine is going to last :)

Let us know what you did (or should I say DID NOT) do to make this happen. SR20s just don't blow up from people cruising around. What happened to it? Why did it happen?

Ugh, what a horrible death. JDM motors have no emissions stuff on them right? I think Im going to be looking into a new motor too because I believe my engine has developed a rod knock. I havent had it checked out be a tech. yet, but everybody I've asked so far has agreed that the symptoms sound like it.

Question: How much would it cost to rebuild my current engine as compared to buying a new one? Would it be worth it or no? Im guessing no, but I want some oppinions. Thanks.

I bet it was the lower oil pan smashed up restricting oil suction...:cool:

I think i lean out my motor cause my Airfuel gauge is not touching the Rich side. i have no idea how did it blow up i was just driving normal speed. I do oil change every 3000 mile and i just change the sparkplug and wire and cap and rotor from the Dealership.

I do even gun the car the much cause it way running bad before it blow. My motor have 61,000 mile on it.

When i did my compression test, all 4 cylinder was bad. They told me i shock the shit out of my motor.

i think u should just get a new motor cause it will be cheaper than rebuilding it.
