I recently purchased a Place Racing cai from ebay for $80 brand new! Unfortunatly when I got it the thing was for a lowport. I decided not to return it and pulled out the sawsall and went to work. The pipe that connects to the tb had 2-3 inches cut off the side facing the maf. Its a tight fit but it works nicely now. Just thought I would let you guys know the low port pr cai can work on a highport with some modification.

Easy, just change to a Short Stack WAI setup, or they sell these water resistant filter covers... i think injen sold them, but I haven't bought one yet...

i know this is a semi old thread but i seen those covers, wont that make your performance very poor? cause im thinking about getting one for the hurricane season.

It's not going to help. If a little splash gets in your motor, that doesn't really hurt things (remember, people inject water into the intake stream on purpose all the time), it's when you submerge the filter that you have problems.

Simplest thing is to just take off the cold air part during the rainy season.

That, or convert the thing to a racecar and drive a truck all the time... :D
