The cat on my 98 SER is failing. Does anyone try to put a Random Technology cat on the 98 SER? Is it a direct bolt-on? Where can I get the cat at a reasonable price?

I'm gonna throw you a bone here but ifyou can swing it, I'd get a test pipe in there. But only do this if you are not planning on autocrssing. The test pipe I had made for my car gave me good midrange and a bit more torque, but did not allow the motor to sing up to redlin as quickly. I don't know much about aftermarket cats, though, Summit carries catco cats but I dunno about random technologies cats.

Of course you would fail inspection, but OBX has a cat bypass pipe. I believe its a bolt on and its only about $90.

N/A cars will not bennift from a test pipe. Get a random cat if yours is messed up.

Yup I believe my cat is messed up because I failed the NYS emissions test. That guy told me it's the cat so I have to replace the damn cat. My B14 only has 37000 miles.
