well the shaft were the throw out bearing sit/rides on in the tranny had beed eaten to shit, bad clip, not greased enough who knows who cares at this point.

replaced the tranny with another b13 de tranny with a new clutch set up, act xt pp and 6 puck (unsprung) got everything back together. drove fine for about 1 hour, i was gassing it but nothing crazy, absolutely no hole shots or anything like that.

got about 30 mins from my house when the bitch wouldnt go into fifth. turned around and when i slowed down and tried to get into third it wouldnt. when i stopped and tried to reverse no reverse.

got the car on a lift. it had cracked one of the upper tranny bolt holes and dropped down a bit and was blocking the linkage from going in 3rd 5th and reverse.

so what do you guys think caused this crack? can this be attributed to the unsprung 6 pucks ruff engadgement ? just a bad tranny ? or just bad luck ?

now as far as what to do next. p11 tranny ? seems like a lil to much work and im really not making that much power. 10:1 de with a t25 and s4's for the major mods and its going to stay this way forever.

should i just get another b13 tranny and run a act street/strip disc ?? and just hope for the best ?

i just want the car to be able to take what i give it, agian its not making much power and with everything in good conditon i dont see why a b13 tranny cant easily take it. so fellas please i need to get this back together asap. i missed the convention but i wont allow the car to be down for more then a few weeks. so please give me all the advice and all the info that u got.

what a hard week. and what a way to end it on the way to the convention when your car takes a dump and u hoble home. theres always next year and mark my words i dont care were it is ill drive across the country to make the next one.

thanks for the offer brother. the whole allure of me going to the convention was riding out there. the ride man, the ride.

ill be taking my old tranny welding up the groove were the throw out bearing sits and then cleaning it up nice and smooth with a dremel then some grip cloth. while its there ill have him weld the tranny closed. my other tranny was fine it was just were the throw out bearin rod on that shaft it ate a groove that can easily be fixed.

im going to use the 6puck i dont see how it could have possibly caused it to break were it did.

yeah the bolt backing out/cracking or whatever is just an error from the install. Yes the 6 puck will create a harsher engagement, etc. But tons of people are running harsh clutches. Personally i use loctite on important bolts and try to properly torque everything I can.

If you can get a P11 tranny go for it. Especially if you plan on keeping the car for a while and making power, etc. Its really not that hard at all.

no the bolt didnt back out, the bolt hole cracked off from the top and the tranny then dropped down.

so u would say just get a b13 tranny in there ? like i said **** reuse my old b13 tranny and renew/refinish the shaft the throw out bearing rides on.
