I got a Catco from Carparts.com for extra cheap was like 50 bux highflow, it was 20 bux to install with OEM flanges installed on it. Its 3" inside. Needed a new one cause mine was bad and I needed to pass emissions.

I also bought the catco, but have yet to install it. Like SENTRAPLAYA said, you'll prolly need OEM flanges welded on the ends. I know mine will..

Where do you get the oem flanges, how much are they, and who can you get to weld them on, and of course, for how much? Thanks

SentraPLAYA, where did you get oem flanges welded on and for how much? Do you just go to a shop and tell them to weld on some oem flanges?

mike, i got mine from fairfax muffler and brake. anyone that does exhaust work should have them. as far as getting a cat, this is what you have to do. remembr, i just did this myself 2 weeks ago with my weekend of upgrades :-)

got to summitracing.com and look up the cat. call me, and i can give you the part # of the one i got. the problem with our cats is that they are 12.5 inch long, and that BOTH of the flanges are turned like 44.6 degrees. they arnt level to the ground. i bought a 14 inch cat (with a 2.5 inlet and outlet), and then used a big tubing cutter to cut .75 inches off of each end (you can use a hacksaw or a sawzal, just be sure you cut it straight). i also went to the muffler shop and bought 2 two-bolt 2.5 inch flanges. i did have to drimmel them out a little bit to make them fit, but no big deal. at this point, go to the muffler shop and have them hang the cat. this is going to raise 2 problems...

at the end of the secondary, where the header meets the cat, there is a bracket that is bolted in with the cat studs. this has the exhaust hangers on it. its a good chance yours will be trash. mine was, and i have a 93. it was rusted out. i didnt even remove it. it also might be hard for them to get the cat off. but, thats their problem :-) once the new cat is up then they can turn and adjust the flanges so they will mate up with the secondary and the midpipe. they can mark them, weld them, and then you will be good to go.

BTW- why do you think your cat is bad?

I think my cat is bad for two reasons. One, my dyno numbers are really low, but my car runs fine and has had a tune up, and two, I had unburned fuel going through my cat.
