hey fellas... i just wanted to give yall a heads up for if you ever need to change an alternator in our cars.... i just got done doin mine, the whole in and out took only about 45 mins. So its clear... the switch can be done without taking off the water inlet hose( foot long, 2 inch wide hose right above alternator). just disconnect everything from the alt. and it'll take some wiggling, pulling, turning, and yanking but itll squeeze right through the top between the hose and the side of the car. If you do decide to make it easier by removing the hose youll have ot refill the cooling system, im just tryin to save you all from having to do that. And make sure that you charge your battery after you put in the new alternator. the weakening alt. drained some power from your batt, and if you just jump it when you put the new alt in, you could be making the alt do too much work which will burn it out faster. everything else should be pretty straight forward.

Yes I agree. I have done it that way a few times.
