Hey guys, I am new with working on my SE-R. I have noticed some posts about the CAI mod. Could someone please explain this mod a little to me? advantages and disadvantages? Average prices? Where to buy from? Is this a good first mod? Thanks in advance!

CAI = Cold Air Intake..

This is a great mod, allows the engine to grab Cold Air Out side of the engine compartment... unlike Warm Air Systems.

It's a easy mod... bolts on in mins. Price ranges from 100 - 250 I guess it depends if you buy a used one.. or new one..

Hotshot, Aem , and Place Racing all sell a nice quality CAI. However the prices is high. But making your car breath easier and better is worth that.

I see no down falls of having a CAI... You get a nice gain, Nice Growling Sound at WOT.. and over all it's one of the easiest mods..

I have put a lot of work into my Z. It goes into the shop tomorrow for body kit installation and a full repaint. I am planning on a black base with blue pearl overlay.
