hello i was just wondering if any of you people new how to take out the governer on a 95 ser any help would be great

The JWT ecu will take off your governer and raise your redline.

So will a 94-96 G20 ecu. it will remove the speed limiter and raise the redline to 7500..(and they are alot cheaper than JWT) The G20 ecu will not change the timing and fuel maps for increased HP *** like the JWT would. (G20: $70-125.00)(JWT:$350-600)

How many people have actually hit their speed limiter. I have heard of some seeing 125-130 and not hitting it...I have personally seen 112 and not hit the 109 speed limiter..(lets not turn this into a "the speedo's are not accurate at 115 and up thread") I just wanna see who has and who hasn't.

I've hit the speed limiter on the dyno before. The speedo showed 120, while the dyno showed 109 on the nose.

i hit it and it looks like 115mph on my speedo

A buddy of mine just did this to his B14. He took the governer off of the stock ecu. His name is "EricMol" or something. He just joined the board so if you search for him he will have the month that he joined being very recent. Talk to him and he will gladly help anyone out. Good luck

Mine used to cut off at 110, but now with Mr. Wolf i am able to hit 150mph with ease :D

I hit my governor at about 117 on the speedomoter.

Mine is also 115 :(

109 :( Right on the nose. It really sux.

Gotta get the G20 ecu.

it is pretty easy to just put a switch in to control your governer, i found the wire that goes from the VSS to the speedo to the cruise and then to the ECU. i would have to check, but i believe it is a purple and red wire, it is on the right side of the ECU very close to the center bolt holding the connector. What we did with my car is put a on/off switch on the wire and mounted it. if u just cut the wire u will trip the check engine light but if u install a switch and just flip it when u are approaching your governer u shouldn't have a problem for a minutes atleast. i have a '96 200SX SE-R with a few little things on it and i hit on the speedo 135 regularly. if any one has any furthur questions e-mail me or i will probably update this with more detailed directions w/pics.

thanks for the help i hope it will work out and shit but anyway another question when you take out the govener will it affect the rev limiter and other things as well and will the check engine light come on ??? also when you put an exhaust on does the check engine light come on too??? :)

And you need to go over 109 for what reason?

On the highway I've gone 100 mph without trying. Its not like some of us have to be going 130, but it helps when you are not paying attention to the speedo but are paying attention to the road.
