Isn't this cheating? (or at least not completely scientific) They changed two things by installing the "powercore" and the Nology wires. Which really made the HP difference?

Lastly, isn't the total power generated at the plug the same?
Power is WORK * TIME. The OEM ignition system is only good for X power. If the Nology wires deliver this all in nanoseconds, it is still the same amount of power being dumped across the spark plug gap.

Watt is = Joule/second, so the Nology wires cannot increase the total wattage generated at the plugs.

From SE-R.NET
"Since the 200SX has a tiny coil built into the distributor, we also installed Nology's Power core, a mini auxiliary coil which is wired in parallel with the stock coil. The power core is a great way to get more coil energy storage capacity from cars with integral coils such as Project SE-R. Nology predicted that the power coil would not give any additional power while running on the motor but would provide a more reliable spark under the stress of nitrous"

I got em on my car they give about 2-3Hp or something they are expensive though like 150 to 170bucks they look pretty trick I read that article and they are right they do smooth out the idle and makes it a LITTLE more eager to rev. Nologys Hotwires should be like the last thing done to the car you'll prolly feel em working better. The Nologys were the third mod I did to my car after pulleys and that K&N replacement panel air filter. Now that I got CAI, Headers, Exhaust, ECU, Cams I can feel em working better. Nology wants you to use those beru silverstone plugs but I opted to go with Denso Iridiums and they work fine

but at the same time they give off hella lot of EM interferance and have been known to give the ECU fits. I personaly wouldnt touch them with a 10 foot poll. Give me a good set of brand new OEM wires. They are good to up to abou 250 whp

well hey, 150 bux for somethin that gives a few hp sounds like most any other cheap mod, not to mention it takes like 1 minute to install and look good.

the AD22VFs are a straight swap, the only mods you'll want to do is remove the dust shield *** there won't be enough clearance w/ the NX brakes. i just did this recently so if you have any ?'s, lemme know.
