Would a T28 from a Silvia S14 or S15 motor would fit in a GTIR manifold or would you have to weld a different flange on it. Is it any advantage to having one of the Silvia Ball bearing turbo ( how many HP are these turbos good for) vs the GTIR T28.

Yes, the silvia turbos will fit. They will spool faster than the GTi-R T28 because of the ball bearings, and the smaller exhaust housing. The GTi-R will have more power potential. I would just go with the GTi-R, more power, and few would call its spool up "laggy" by any means.

Lyn is correct! It will spool up faster! The GTiR T28 is a fairly quick spooling turbo even without having a ball bearing center section! The Silvia S14/S15 Ball Bearing T28 will be much more expensive to rebuild becaue of the ball bearing center section. Let me knwo if you need a *NEW* GTiR T28, I can get them without any major problems!

Ya, how much? Also, what's the potential of the T28? I'd like to shoot for 300 whp on a DET engine with the T28 (yes, I will upgrade injectors, MAF, etc. accordingly). I think I read somewhere that it can get about 280 *reliable* whp, but can someone verify this for me?

You *MAY*be able to get 300 hp out of a T28. I know actual GTiR motors w/ the factory T28 have reached up to 325-330 whp in Europe and in the UK! You are really pushing the limits of the factory T28 at those levels though!

With the T28 setup on a DE what kinda injectors should one run 370cc, 444cc, 50lbs/hr injectors.

Depends on what kind of HP ou want. The 370cc injectors are only good for ~230 hp with the stock MAF, The GTiR Injectors should be able to support ~285-290 with a Cobra MAF and the MSD 50lb/hr injectors shoudl be able to support ~325 hp with a Cobra MAF @ 3 Bar of fuel pressure and ~425 @ 4 Bar of fuel pressure.

You may be able to make that kinda power woth a T28, butyour intake temps will be sky high and that turbo wont last long. Go for a T3, I dont know if it will fit on the GTi-R manifold though..
