: Rosen Dyno Day, the aftermath
Stiletto 04-01-2002, 08:26 AM although this sorta pertains to the "East" section, i thought ya'll wouldn't mind me posting here.
well, i'd say the Rosen Dyno Day was a success. we had a couple more cars show up than i expected...which is always a great thing! we also got to hang out w/ some 240SX peeps, also a good surprise. although i love the design of the S14 and S15, boy am i glad we got the SR20's in our cars!! once i finish the roll of film, i'll post the pics of the SE-Rs on the Dyno. i'll also post my dyno chart upon getting it scanned.
my hp goal of 140 whp is now a reality. i recently gained the added hp i needed from a 91 cam, and even though i lost 5 lbs. of torque, my high ends gains are worth it. now i'll start saving for the JWT cams and ecu! :)
again, it was nice meeting all those who attended and i look forward to our next gathering.
98sr20ve 04-01-2002, 08:59 AM Going to Rosen was a lot of fun. I even put my stock car on the dyno. Realized that it was tuneup time. It was nice to hang out with other Nissan Guys. See you next time.
Steve
97SENTRASER 04-01-2002, 08:27 PM any pics???
Stiletto 04-01-2002, 09:32 PM i'll have some up when i get this roll of film developed. i know some other peeps took pics, too. can't answer for them, though...
silversx 04-01-2002, 10:11 PM hey rich, maybe your next mod should be a digital camera :D
mpg9999 04-01-2002, 10:29 PM Yeah, David (blue 240sx) has some pics on his digital camera. Ill get them from him and post em along with my dyno runs.

no $hit!! :D :D
well, it's a little blurry but you get the idea:
http://members.bellatlantic.net/~vze389xr/Dyno_run2.jpg
GREEN-1st run (jan '02): 133.7 whp/133 lbs. tq
RED-2nd run (mar '02, 3rd gear): 139.1 whp/126.5 lbs. tq
BLUE-3rd run (mar '02, 4th gear): 139.0 whp/128.3 lbs. tq
if it had been cooler outside i'm sure i woulda pulled a 140 whp....right? (say yes or i'll brain you!! :D )
nx2kracer 04-02-2002, 03:55 PM Maybe, those are uncorrected numbers. You can have the dyno produce corrected numbers so "theoretically" it will be the same no matter what the conditions are.

Stiletto 04-02-2002, 04:47 PM IIRC, they are corrected. reason i think this is 'cause my first run actually came out to a 142 whp, because of the way i realeased my clutch (rather than hitting the fuel cut-off like i did on the latter 2 runs). doesn't matter, i'm claiming 140 to all non-sr20 peeps. :D

STILETTO,
I feel you!! Join the 139HP club!!!
Just gotta get those pullies!!!!
And this is with the Hon240.
We'll see who breaks 140 first. :D
When I dynoed mine I had just got done traveling 1 hour to get to the damn dyno, and I didnt give my car a cool-off period. Plus I had on my heavy ass 16'' 5-Zigen rims. I think if I slap on my stocks,
have a cooler engine, and perhaps change my plugs, I will be in there like swimwear!!!!
What tires did you have on?
Stiletto 04-03-2002, 02:21 PM my baby was cold, i was the second to last to hop on the dyno. i'm runnin' stock SEL rims w/ 195/50 Bridgestone Potenza S-03's. i'll prolly buy the G20 ecu ** i get the pullies. maybe i get an extra hp outta that!
DaGenesis 04-03-2002, 03:28 PM looks good
i gotta find a dyno in ny and see what i can put down
RySE-R 1 04-03-2002, 08:03 PM 139 whp??!!! That's great! I have about the same mods except also with S3 cams (I have a JDM motor, too). I'm thinking I should be in the 150 whp range then? I needs to find me a dyno 'round here!
aknapp 04-04-2002, 06:38 PM Hey Stilleto, with all those "classic" SE-R pieces, it's no wonder you got 140 hp! *wink wink nudge nudge*
