I have a DVD/LCD setup in my car, and have been toying with the idea of installing a TV tuner. I get all giggly at the idea of watching the news on my way to work instead of boring ass AM radio.

Has anyone here had experiences with in-car Tuners? Are they worth the $$$, or just a fuzzy waste of $$$

Also, what type of antenna can I get away with for one?

Yes, and they suck. You only get decent reception when you are stopped. If you are moving, it sucks.

i worked with a kid that had a tuner for his dvd/tv/radio contraption in his car. it worked great. it was a little box that clipped on the inside of the rear quarter window in his civic hatch. we would go into work everyday at 5pm, and sit out back and watch the simpsons in his car. the picture quality was great.
