has anyone ever installed a clutch disk backwards? My friend and I think we might have done this since we were driving around on a pretty new act clutch (snags 3rd gear no prob.) after swapping a tranny out and it held up for 1 mile then it feels like a clutch with 1,000,000 miles on it...like its only making 1/50th of the contact its supposed to be. if anyone has any insight let me know since i cant pull the tranny till next week to see.

Check the clutch cable and make sure it is adjusted correctly.

its your clutch cable. the disk is higher on one side you would have noticed when you tried to put the pressure plate back on. you just gotta play with the cable i burnt out a good clutch in a few months because of my cable

I don't think it's possible to do that and have the clutch work at all. The hub contacts the flywheel bolts. At least on my cars this was true.
