I need a little help. The rad fans do not kick on under normal use. But they do kick on if I were to turn on the AC, or unplug the water temp sensor. So I just figured it was a bad sensor. So I pulled the water temp sensor off of the bad motor I had replaced the water temp sensor on the JDM SR I put into the car earlier. I had no idea if the fans were working properly before the motor blew up since I bought the car with a blown motor. My question is; if there is anything other than the water temp sensor kicking my fans on. I just don't want to buy a new sensor and then still have the same problem

check the fan relay

The fans will kick on with the AC or the sensor being unplugged. So that's why I'm stuck. I thought the fan relay just allows them to be turned on.

I have the same problem, and i'm just about fed up with it so i'm going to go to the dealer and have it repaired hopefully. I changed the sensor twice and they still don't kick on so i have no choice but to go to someone to fix it.
