well, my T25 project is officially done (except for the install of the turbo timer and boost controller).

All i can say is it rips, even though i am only at 6 psi. cant wait to put it up to 10, and make lunch meat out of my tires.

Cars that have succumbed to the beast so far:

98+ Firebird WS6 convertible.

Glad to hear man... That WS6 was probably not driving that hard because one of those will pull my friends BB motor NX2K at 6lb. At 10-11lb its another story :D

well, it was a convertible, so that adds another few hundred pounds. plus i have a higher compression motor and Tomei cams, which should help my top end a little. may have been an automatic too (hard to tell, i couldnt really hear his car), but it was on the freeway (5 north in Orange county, 5 AM) so driver skill doesnt really come in to play there.

i HAVE noticed a large variance in F-bodies though, i had a friend with a 6 speed 1997 WS6 hardtop, and it would continually lose and pull slower trap speeds than his dads 1997 automatic WS6. my friend's car had less miles on it, and was maintained religiously. his dad busted out a best of 13.8@104 and he could only muster 14.1@100, both with nearly identical 60' times.

you still gonna do that 2.0L motor in your beast? get your diff fixed yet?

Oh yeah, Steve, I figured out why I spin 1st gear and you don't now. All this talk on about flywheels on the list got me thinking. I have a LIGHTENED FLYWHEEL! It definitely helps me spool a lot faster than a stock flywheel. Also, my stock suspension doesn't help either. I like looking at clouds and making out their shapes when I launch.

Congrats, Steve, on getting your T25 up and running!

Well, show us some pics, man! I want to see that Forge intercooler up front and center, please.

We're waiting.... ;)

ohhh yeah, i forgot abou that. it looks great, only had to cut .25" off my bumper cover to get it to fit, and NONE off the bumper support. i will steal a digi cam one of these days and snap some pics, anyone wanna host them for me?

well, the 17s make it a little harder to spin the tires, despite them being a few pounds lighter than the B14 wheels you have. i think your copious wheelspin has more to do with your boost spiking to 8-9 lbs from a roll than anything, my car stays dead nuts stable, right at 6, spikes to *maybe* 7 sometimes, but not enough to notice. i would recommend trying to lubricate your wastegate actuator as it may be rusted enough so that it is slow.

but yeah, i was just thinking about the flywheel thing too, your car is something like 100lbs lighter in first gear (or some fairly ridiculous number), so that would most definetly make it spin more.

i desperately need new tires though, mine spin all through 1st now, and for about 15 feet or so into second on a fast shift (without over revving of course, if i do that, it'll spin til redline)

I cant wait until saturday, i will let you guys know what times i pull.

what speed do you guys think i should launch at on Nitto NT555R drag radials?

also, how far will the stock fuel pump go? would it be able to supply enough fuel for 10lbs? or will i be seriously risking it?

I am boosting about 15psi on my BB, spin my tires like a biatch though. I spin till about 3rd gear. But i have a stock fuel pump with 370's with the Jim Wolf 3-bar program ECU, and when i look at my rich/lean gauge when boosting i am always in the green (rich). So i think it's safe

Steve-

I asked this before but not sure if you got this... I have a b14 and got the Forge Intercooler as well. The Intercooler will go on my car this Saturday and I was wondering what you did to mount it?? Did you fab up a bracket for it or use the existing "brackets" already on the Forge unit. Any help is much appreciated...

Thanks

Your A/F gauge isn't accurate. 15 PSI is killling the turbo. and Steve, stop being chinese and get the damn WALBORO! IT's $120 shipped.

i made my own brackets that go to where the stock bumper bolts on in the middle on top. the bracket is bent 90 degrees from the intercooler, and uses the holes for the bumper cover, right under the grille. i should have pics up pretty soon.

Whats the deal bro with "stop being chinese"? Is there something you got against chinese ppl? Cause I know if you said that in front of me we would have something going on.

HA! a little inside joke. you see, terrin is cheap, terrin is also chinese, and so is every other chinese person we know. i myself am half korean, and i always make fun of him for trying to save a buck and being "chinese"

so what goes around comes around i guess.

i too cannot stand blatant racism, and if you saw me pissed about someone making fun of me because of the way i looked, or what i drove, or whatever, you too, would be scared.

please see this as just a jest between two ethnically diverse people.

speaking of ethnic, hey terrin, when we gonna hit up the korea house, i have a craving for a REAL korean resturant.
